We've wanted to bring Jean-Efflam to the Piano Week for years, and finally the dates have worked. This sensational French pianist made his Proms debut in 2008, and you may also have heard him recently with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. His specialism is French music (as you might expect), and the Schumann in his programme is a rarity - the first time we've heard it at the piano week.
